Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, our plans for influenza vaccines (flu shots) have changed from previous years.
Public Health Sudbury & Districts has provided clinical guidance for the delivery of flu shots at primary care clinics, including:
- physical distancing
- personal protection equipment (PPE)
- reducing the mixing of well and ill individuals
- increased environmental cleaning and disinfecting of immunization stations
- and having separate areas for people to wait post-vaccination
We are committed to being an active partner in the delivery of seasonal vaccines for our patients. We ask for your patience and encourage you to explore all available options for this year. For example, the influenza vaccine is available at many locations throughout the community including local pharmacies. In addition, Public Health Sudbury & Districts offers the vaccine by appointment.
