The City of Lakes Family Health Team is hosting a mass vaccination clinic on Wednesday, June 30th from 9:00am-8:00pm at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex located at 235 Countryside Drive (Countryside Arena). This clinic is exclusively for patients of the City of Lakes Family Health Team (COLFHT) and by appointment only. It is not a walk-in clinic.
The clinic is open to all COLFHT patients 12 years of age and older who would like to receive their first dose. And, as part of the province’s accelerated second dose eligibility, any patient 18 years of age and older can receive their second dose on June 30th if they received their first dose on or before June 2, 2021.
We will be offering the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. The Ontario Ministry of Health has confirmed that a mixed vaccine schedule for the COVID-19 vaccine is safe, effective, and will complete the vaccine series. This means that individuals who received a first dose of an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) or AstraZeneca can receive a different mRNA vaccine for their second dose. It is recommended that you receive your first and second dose as soon as you are eligible, to ensure maximum protection against COVID-19 and the variants, including the Delta variant.
If you would like to receive a vaccination on June 30th, go to our COLFHT website homepage and click “COVID-19 Vaccine” to book your appointment online.
Please do not call our clinics to book your vaccine appointment.
