Sudbury played host to "Getting Connected" - the first Northeastern Ontario Family Health Team conference held on June 9 & 10, 2009 at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (East Campus).
Delegates representing sixteen family health teams from across northeastern Ontario included family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers, volunteer board members and administration staff.
Keynote speakers included:
- Andy Wilson, Director of Family Health Teams, Ontario Ministry of Health
- Terry Tilleczek, Director Planning, Integration & Community Engagement Northeast LHIN
- Dr. Nick Kates, QIIP's Lead, Quality Improvement and Innovation Partnership
